Hockey recruits charged with sexual misconduct with minor

Three hockey recruits were charged with having sexual misconduct with and endangering the welfare of a child. The incident allegedly took place with a 16-year-old female camp attendee with her consent at Clarkson’s summer hockey camp on campus in July, as the camper was 16, she was not legally able to consent to sexual acts. According to NY state law, if a defendant is convicted on a sexual misconduct charge they must register as a sex offender, could serve up to a year in jail, and can be fined.

On Saturday, September 5, 2009 police arrested Jordan A. Ciccarello, 18, of New Hartford, Connecticut and Patrick D. McEachen, 18, of Stouffville, Ontario. On Tuesday, September 8, Demetri J. Sakaris, 19, of Candiac, Quebec was arrested on the same charges.
